SCL has established a certification functions under the accreditation of the international accreditation services (IAS). SCL scheme has also been assessed by the Nigeria National Accreditation System, (NiNAS) who are full member of AFRAC, IHAF, ILAC and IAF. SCL has the mandate to carry out independent conformity assessment activities through its certification schemes.

The certification activities involve the auditing of organizations’ management systems and issuance of certificates of registration. SCL Certificate of registration gives evidence and assurance that the certified organization has implemented a management system that ensures attainment of the organization’s mandate.

SCL is owned by CPMC training and Inspections Services Limited, accredited by the International Register of Certificated Auditors (IRCA) and the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (CIPS)
